Dimensions and Table Fit
For a dining table around 72–76 cm high, the approximate difference between the seat and tabletop is 27–31 cm. This is a general dining-layout reference. Final fit depends on the tabletop thickness, apron, table base and project layout.
The 45 cm chair width is not the complete seating allowance. Your floor plan must also account for table-base interference, chair pull-out space, guest clearance, circulation aisles and the angled leg footprint.
Review restaurant chair spacing and aisle clearance before locking the final layout.
Materials and Construction
The curved plywood-based seat-and-back construction gives the DC218 its slim profile. The quotation identifies exposed plywood and upholstered surfaces separately.
The exact wood specification, finish color and sheen are locked in the approved order sheet. Natural grain and tone may show normal variation.
Visible metal components connect the seat, back and leg structure. The final metal material and surface treatment are stated in the quotation.
Wipe with a soft, lightly damp cloth and dry the surface. Avoid abrasive tools, strong solvents and prolonged moisture.
Clean with a soft cloth and keep the surface dry. Inspect visible connections and floor glides during routine maintenance.
Follow the cleaning instructions for the approved upholstery code. Blot spills promptly and test cleaners on a hidden area first.
Use Limits
Indoor only: the current specification does not support permanent rain, UV, poolside or coastal exposure.
Dining height: the 45 cm seat height is not intended for counters or bars.
Not offered as stackable: stacking quantity, contact points and stability have not been separately verified.
Not an office task chair: the product has no height adjustment, casters, swivel or adjustable lumbar support.
Customization
A request for a “black chair” does not define the seat, back, wood, metal and upholstery combination. Each element must be approved together.
| Configuration Item | Available Direction | What Must Be Approved |
|---|---|---|
| Seat | Exposed plywood or upholstery | Construction, surface material and color |
| Back | Exposed plywood or upholstery | Front surface, rear surface and edge detail |
| Wood Components | Black, wood-tone or approved custom finish | Substrate, color and sheen |
| Upholstery | Fabric or leatherette | Supplier code, texture, color and cleaning requirement |
| Metal Supports | Black, metallic or approved project finish | Surface process, color and sheen |
| Logo and Labels | Product label, carton mark or project identification | Artwork, position and production method |
| Packing | Standard or project-specific | Assembly format, protection, carton and labeling |
| Size or Structure | Reviewed as product development | Drawing, sample, stability and packing |
Custom wood colors, metal finishes or upholstery require physical sample approval. Deep customization normally starts from 100 pcs per design or configuration, and separate material minimums may apply.
Sending one image and asking for “the black version” leaves five decisions unresolved: seat surface, back surface, wood finish, metal finish and upholstery code. Missing details can change the quotation, sample appearance, production route, cleaning method and packing requirement.
Black wood, black upholstery and black metal differ in grain, texture, gloss and light reflection. YeZhi Furniture recommends approving the wood sample, upholstery swatch and metal sample separately under the intended project lighting. Digital images are an initial reference, not the final production standard.
Order Approval
Send the model, quantity, destination, intended venue and preferred configuration.
We review the wood reference, upholstery code, metal finish, labels and packing requirements.
Where required, the sample is checked against the drawing, materials, finish direction and packing plan.
The approved drawing, codes, physical samples and product configuration become the production reference.
Include your finish reference, upholstery code or table drawing when available.
Inspection Focus
For a DC218 order, the inspection plan focuses on the approved product configuration rather than borrowing claims from another chair or material.
Relevant EN, BIFMA or third-party testing documentation can be reviewed according to the selected DC218 configuration, destination market and project requirement. Confirm the required report scope before placing the order.
A report from another chair, material or configuration is not treated as proof for the DC218.
The standard export pack uses a protective carton, EPE foam and corner protection. Surface separators and hardware bags are added where required by the approved packing plan.
Carton dimensions, net and gross weight, CBM and loading quantities are confirmed after the packing format is approved.
Quotation Factors

Total quantity and the number of color or material combinations affect purchasing and production setup.
Exposed plywood and upholstered configurations use different materials, steps and packing methods.
New colors or processes can require physical samples and separate production batches.
Third-party testing and destination-market documents must be included before production.
Custom cartons, barcodes, project labels, pallets or special protection affect the packing plan.
Standard production is about 30 days after deposit and final approval. Custom production normally requires 35–45 days.
